The Foundations of Little Lambs Ministry
The vision for ministering to the orphans of the former Soviet Union came when Mrs. Renate Kurz visited Kiev, Ukraine in the summer of 1992. There she saw a need for summer care for orphans,
as many of the children have no place to go. These precious lambs were ending up in substandard camp situations or worse yet, psychiatric hospitals.
The Little Lambs summer camp ministry began in the summer of 1993 and led to a partnership with Orphanage 21 in Kiev. In subsequent years, the Lord opened the doors to additional orphanages who
wanted us to bring our summer camp program to their children. Every summer, over 2,000 Ukrainian, Russian, and Moldovan orphans hear the gospel and are shown Christ's love in action. Some of these
children have never before heard the good news that God loves them, the forgotten children of the former Soviet Union. From this ministry our Relief Program and Little Lambs Homes were
born.
Little Lambs is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
