Winter Camp 2009/2010 Program
For the last 4 years Little Lambs Ministry is organizing Winter Camps in Ukraine!
During the winter break orphanages are staffed with very few people and welcome Little Lambs to spend time with the children. Because of the cold winters in Ukraine, most of the activities are inside which provides many opportunities just to hang out and love the children. Similar to our summer camps, the winter program is full of activities and fun. Yet, most importantly, we will connect and spend time with the children who accepted Christ during the summer. Many of the orphans have no church nearby, so we will use this time to teach, disciple, and encourage them. What a better time to do it than Christmastime, the time of LOVE, HOPE and JOY!
The Russian and Ukrainian Christmas is on January 7, so we are planning our winter camps from January 1 – 11. Please share with us this wonderful opportunity to minister to the orphans and share the newborn Christ with them.

Summer Camp 2010 Program
Summer camps, once used to indoctrinate children in the atheistic teachings of the Soviet Young Pioneers, now house the Christian workers who help the children to make friends, have fun, and learn that Jesus loves them.
Every summer Little Lambs Ministry works hand in hand with local evangelical churches to reach out to the orphaned and abandoned children of the former Soviet Union, and share the love that Jesus has for them. American teams work alongside Russian, Moldovan, and Ukrainian counselors to provide a Christ-centered camp program. The camps are held in former pioneer camps or at orphanages. Each camp this summer will be 2 weeks long and will care for 75 - 120 orphans (from 6 to 17 years of age).
THIS summer, we are planning 2-week camps in Ukraine:
Two Camps in June (June 6- June 20)
Three Camps in July (July 1-15)
One Camp in August (August 1-15)
We also would like to send a team to Moldova (June) and Armenia (August) to help the church planters with the VBS and English classes.
WHY WE NEED YOU:
Our summer camps are uniquely structured to have Christian Ukrainians, Moldovans, and Russians in charge of the ministry, with our American
volunteers as a support to their leadership. The nationals will take the lead in running the entire camp program. You will be asked to assist with crafts, games, teaching Bible lessons,
performing skits, and singing songs. We help train and prepare all our volunteers with manuals and communication during the spring. All volunteers should be prepared to serve in whatever way needed.
Some great camp volunteer resources can be found here. Please complete and
send in applications by March 1st.
The role of American volunteers in our camp ministry is vital. You have the opportunity to serve with flexibility and love, whether it be teaching crafts, giving your testimony or praying throughout a Bible lesson. Your skills, Christ-like example, and yes, even your “American” identity, are a huge part of why these summer camps make an impact on so many lives.
These sessions of our summer camp ministry is only the beginning of the work Little Lambs Ministry does with these children. Our ultimate goal is to continue discipleship throughout the year. The Ukrainians, Moldovans and Russians do this by visitations and outreaches in the orphanages after the camp, letters to the children and constant prayer. Your ministry following summer camp volunteering can continue by corresponding with children you connected with and spending time praying for them throughout the year. We also commenced with winter camps in the year 2008. Our relief program and homes are a part of the continued work we do. To see more, click on our pages designated for each of these programs.
